11 people got injuries when pirate ship collapsed at the Shwemawdaw Pagoda festival in Bago Region, according to the Chairman of Tugyi Myittashin Aid Organization.
The chairman said that the accident took place at the pagoda festival yesterday night and the riders got minor injuries.
“The people were waiting for pirate ship ride but it collapsed. No one got serious injuries except a woman injured her thighs during the collapse of pirate ship,” said the Chairman of Tugyi Myittashin Aid Organization.
He also reported that the victims already have been sent to the Bago People’s Hospital.
In Myanmar, the Ferris wheel and pirate ship rides were involved in the pagoda festivals and funfairs
and most of the people had to ride the Ferris wheel and pirate ship as a pleasure.
